Deers at Richmond Park

This journey was a highlight of our visit to London . In the evening my daughter, son-in-law and grandson along with my wife drove to the park .

I never ever thought the park would be that big , and that too in London . On arrival we decided  to have a coffee . Unfortunately the cafe had just closed for  the day.

Anyway we began walking into the park . We saw cyclists riding very fast . It was an excellent path to ride. My grandson also had his little cycle which he pushed along as fast as he could. We saw deer afar and wondered whether we would get a closer view.

We were not disappointed and got pictures

Subsequently we walked to the pond. There we saw ducks, geese and crows .

We sat for sometime, while our little man rode his cycle. Then he was given granola . He had just began eating , when he dropped the whole lot on the ground. As we moved away the flock of geese and ducks and even the crows walked near intending to eat, but it was not food to interest them .

Finally we made our way back to the car park. On  the way we saw a few deer .

However we got a good view of three deer of which two were locked in combat with their antlers into each others .

As our car passed by, we stopped and I got out of the car to get a few pictures. When I returned to the car I was surprised to know  that my daughter had taken a picture of me from behind.

After an interesting day out , we returned home . It looked as if we went on a safari.

A caution has been put at the park, about not feeding the deer. We were saddened to know much later that one of the visitors to the park was attacked by a stag when he went too near them.

Can we not follow cautionary notices ?
